Ian Marr CPA, CGA has been the President and CEO of the Nanaimo Port Authority since 2019. Ian joined the Port as the Manager of Finance of the former Harbour Commission in 1987 which included the property administration portfolio. Prior to working at the Port, Ian earned his degree and designation as a Chartered Professional Accountant in 1982 while working in public practice with national accounting firms in the construction, real estate, and development industries. Recent Board positions include Chair/Past Chair of the Association of Pacific Ports and 1st Vice Chair/ Director and Executive Committee member with the Association of Canadian Port Authorities.
